With the opening of the workplace named Farmatodo, inaugurated in tribute to July 26, the workers of the Provincial Company of Pharmacies and Optics in Ciego de Ávila respond to economic and social transformations, particularly the first of them: allowing entities of the state business system to carry out any lawful activity without abandoning their main social purpose.

In addition to natural products made at the Provincial Capital’s Medicine Production Center, the offer includes assortments for hygiene, cleaning, disinfection, and nutrition, at differentiated prices.
Dulce María Fernández Martínez, general director of the Provincial Company of Pharmacies and Optics, reported that sales began with 21 product lines, and stated they are committed to diversifying commercialization through alliances and productive linkages with various economic actors, including Thaba, which already contributes with jewelry items.
She emphasized that Farmatodo does not provide the population with medications from the basic health chart, nor those usually sold in the province’s 98 pharmacy units.
The inauguration was attended by Yuslaivys Borges González, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, Kernel Lima Ruiz, provincial health director, and other leaders.
